Olive Woods situated in Medha, Gujarat is a villa scheme set in a lush 75+ acre landscape, just 30 km from Ahmedabad
The vision of villas in harmony with nature and to cultivate a diverse ecosystem of native plants reflecting Gujarat's richness, featuring luxury amenities, including pavilions, trails, and food forests. The villas are built using sustainable materials which are embedded in the landscape.
Pomoco was tasked with creating a logo and brochure for the project prior to the development of the property, to communicate a vision of the forested villa lifestyle.
Gond was the folk art style of choice for the collaborators to express the richness and detail of landscaping as a concept over polished corporate renders. The logo represented two bare olive trees intertwined, referring to the collaboration between two generations and their respective practices.
The zig-zag brochure is divided in information on the front and back, the front featuring introduction of the property and other specifications along with detailed illustrations, and the back a stylized plot in the Gond style.
The color palette drew from the natural tones of olives, translated into a low-contrast system that retained the clarity of a corporate identity. The logo retained a minimalism essential to work across applications, while the brochure allowed the illustrations to carry more detail.
Together, the identity and publication established Olive Woods as a vision of a second home rooted in landscape, using craft and illustration to communicate an environment that had yet to be built
