Indian Aeropress Championship

The World Aeropress Championship is regarded as the biggest coffee brewing championship on earth.
Dedicated exclusively to brewing the Aeropress in high-octane 5 minute knockout rounds, this championship attracts home brewers, baristas, coffee professionals, and more.

In 2025, our co-founder Dharun Vyas, claimed the National Aeropress Championship and represented India at the world stage in Seoul, South Korea.
After a knockout and reentry into the quarterlies, Dharun cascaded to the top three, claiming the bronze title (a first for India). This opened a new world for us in exploring high quality graphic design in the world of Coffee.
In 2026, we requested our friends at Benki Brewing Tools to design the new championship poster and campaign.
These are often amalgamations of the Aeropress, Coffee brewing and easily recognisable cultural symbols that can help identify that particular region. This particular device of the aeropress poster is a fascinating case study; 66+ countries hosting their own championships (under the same umbrella of rules), have their own graphic identities.

After exploring many visual juxtapositions, the idea of using a Qutub Minar-adjacent form overlapping with the Aeropress created the right amount of grandeur for the Indian title.
We also created a championship identity device using indic and english typography. With the Aeropress-minar at the center, the poster template kept changing its colours and layouts to fit various regional competitions.

While the world stage is reserved for National Champions from 66+ countries each year, who represent their respective nations, the Aeropress Championship in India begins at district level, with winners from more than 10 different regions of India competing for the National title.
